Looking for position for one of the institutes of Symbiosis International University i.e. Symbiosis University Hospital & Research Centre, Lavale, Pune
Hospital is 900 beds NABH Accredited, Multi-super Specialty State of the art hospital. Associated with Symbiosis Medical College for Women
Position- Incharge Nurse ER
Requirement of Qualification and experience :
- Education: B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing (preferably in Critical Care or Medical-Surgical Nursing).
- Registration: Valid registration with State Nursing Council.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years and above of clinical experience , with at least 2–3 years as Team-leader in ER.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS certification Preferred.
The ER Nursing In-Charge is responsible for the overall management, coordination, supervision, and delivery of nursing services within the Emergency Room. The role ensures timely, safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered emergency care through effective clinical leadership, staff management, emergency preparedness, and strict adherence to hospital policies, SOPs, and applicable NABH standards.
- Manage and coordinate overall nursing activities in the Emergency Room, ensuring timely, protected, and quality patient care.
- Supervise triage, assessment, stabilization, and emergency interventions for patients, ensuring prompt escalation to doctors when required.
- Lead and supervise ER nursing staff, allocate duties, prepare duty rosters, monitor performance, and maintain adequate staffing.
- Ensure emergency preparedness by maintaining crash carts, emergency drugs, resuscitation equipment, ventilators, monitors, defibrillators,
and other critical equipment.
- Ensure safe medication administration and accurate documentation of assessments, treatments, procedures, patient condition, and nursing interventions.
- Coordinate patient care and transfers with Emergency Physicians, Consultants, ICU, OT, wards, Radiology, Laboratory, Blood Bank, and other departments.
- Implement infection prevention and patient-safety practices, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, SOPs, and NABH standards.
- Conduct regular audits and quality improvement activities related to nursing care, documentation, medication safety, infection control, equipment readiness, and emergency response.
- Provide training and competency development for ER nursing staff through BLS/ACLS training, emergency drills, case discussions, skill demonstrations, and continuous nursing education.
- Maintain smooth ER operations and resource management, including manpower planning, inventory control, equipment maintenance, incident reporting, and coordination with the Nursing Superintendent and hospital administration.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
