About the project

We are building a neoclassical private residence in Paldi, Ahmedabad, designed by Robert Adam Architects, London — carved Gwalior sandstone domes, cornices, capitals and balustrades, roughly 12,000 cubic feet of it. Very little work of this kind is being done in India today. Alongside it, we are designing a current factory at Bareja BIDC with a classical admin block and gatehouse.

This is a single in-house architect's post, reporting to the promoter and working alongside our project management consultant.

What you will do

- Own drawing coordination across the design architect, executive architect, structural, MEP, lighting and facade consultants
- Drive GFC drawings to site — chase, check, and close gaps rather than wait for them
- Develop stone detailing and stone BOQs; check shop drawings and carving templates against the design intent
- Track quantities, approvals and site queries, and keep one clean set of current drawings




- Attend site regularly and resolve what site throws up

What we are looking for

- B.Arch with 4+ years on execution-stage projects (CoA registration preferred)
- Fluent in AutoCAD; Revit and SketchUp useful
- Able to read and produce real construction detail, not presentation drawings
- Genuine interest in classical architecture, mouldings and masonry — or the appetite to learn it properly
- Willing to be on site in Ahmedabad and to work to the demands of a live build, including some long days and Saturday site visits

What we offer

- ₹70000 per month, negotiable for the right person
- Direct access to the promoter and to the design architect's office in London; no layers in between
- A building that will still be standing and worth looking at in a hundred years
