About ChennaiNest

ChennaiNest is a Chennai-focused rental property discovery platform using Instagram, WhatsApp and technology to help tenants discover rental homes and connect with properties quickly.

We are looking for an experienced Hybrid Content Creator / Videographer & Video Editor who can independently handle the complete content production cycle — from visiting a property and shooting it to delivering the final Instagram Reel.

What you'll do

Field & Videography

- Visit residential properties across Chennai.
- Coordinate with property owners and schedule shooting visits.
- Shoot professional vertical property walkthrough videos.
- Capture photos, exterior shots, amenities, parking and surrounding/location footage.
- Follow ChennaiNest's standard property-shooting format.
- Ensure footage is complete, stable and suitable for editing.
- Upload selected footage immediately after shooting so content can enter the editing workflow without delay.

Editing & Content Production

- Edit short-form content for Instagram and other social-media platforms based on the content calendar, available footage and business priorities.
- Create Instagram Reels from property footage.
- Develop robust hooks using rent, location and property highlights.
- Add captions, subtitles, text overlays, music and transitions.
- Create Reel covers.
- Repurpose existing property footage into additional content.
- Create rental tips, area guides, comparison videos and other social-media content.
- Maintain ChennaiNest's visual style and content quality.
- Manage the complete workflow from raw footage to publish-ready content.

Ideal candidate

- 2+ years experience in content creation, videography, social-media production or a related field.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both videography and video editing.
- Experience with Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts.
- Strong smartphone videography skills.
- Camera/mirrorless/DSLR experience is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or similar software.
- Strong understanding of composition,



lighting, framing and movement.
- Strong understanding of short-form content, hooks and retention.
- Able to work independently and manage both field and editing responsibilities.
- Comfortable travelling across Chennai.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Real-estate, lifestyle, travel or commercial content experience is an advantage.

Who we are looking for

We are not looking for a traditional cameraman who only shoots, or an editor who only sits at a computer.

We are looking for someone who can independently handle:

Property → Shoot → Transfer → Edit → Final Reel

The ideal candidate should be able to move quickly and produce consistent social-media content without requiring constant supervision.

Equipment

ChennaiNest can provide/arrange required equipment depending on the candidate and role requirements.

Candidates with their own camera, smartphone, laptop or editing setup are welcome, but own equipment is not mandatory.

- Fast transfer of footage after shooting.
- Quick turnaround for properties with high booking urgency.
- Consistent video quality.
- Ability to manage the complete production workflow independently.
- Minimal supervision.

Growth opportunity

This is an early-stage role with significant scope to grow with ChennaiNest.

As the company expands, the role can grow into:

Senior Content Creator → Content Lead → Social Media/Content Team Lead

There may also be opportunities to work on social-media content for ChennaiNest's future external business clients.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
