Job Title: Experienced Truck DriverJob Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong driving experience, good knowledge of heavy vehicles, and a practical understanding of truck maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting.

The driver will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining the assigned truck, transporting goods to designated locations, and ensuring that the vehicle remains in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate trucks for the transportation and delivery of goods.
- Follow assigned routes, schedules, and traffic regulations.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck.
- Check essential vehicle components such as engine oil, coolant, brakes, tyres, lights, battery, and other systems.
- Identify basic mechanical issues and carry out minor repairs or adjustments when required.
- Report major mechanical problems or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Maintain the truck in clean and roadworthy condition.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of goods and check that cargo is safely secured.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance.
- Follow all company safety policies and transportation regulations.
- Demonstrate responsible driving and take care of company property and vehicles.




- Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and other team members.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Truck Driver / Heavy Vehicle Driver.
- Valid heavy vehicle/truck driving license.
- Good knowledge of truck operation and road safety.
- Strong practical knowledge of truck maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to identify common vehicle problems and take appropriate action.
- Valuable knowledge of local and long-distance routes.
- Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Clean driving record preferred.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with hands-on experience in truck servicing, preventive maintenance, breakdown identification, tyre maintenance, engine checks, and basic mechanical repairs will be preferred.
