Job Description

As a Creative Lead, you will lead the creative direction and design language of the brand across residential projects, experience centres, product environments, and brand touchpoints.

The role is responsible for defining and evolving the brand’s design identity, themes, material and finish language, furniture and decor curation, and overall visual experience. You will continuously research emerging design directions, materials, brands, artisans, and global trends to ensure the brand remains distinctive, contemporary, and relevant.

You will work closely with the design, product, sourcing, marketing, and execution teams to translate creative direction into compelling and cohesive design experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Creative Language

- Define and evolve the overall design language and aesthetic direction of the brand.
- Develop new design themes, style directions, palettes, and visual narratives for residential interiors and brand environments.
- Establish creative principles that guide the selection of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, accessories, and décor.
- Develop the designs for new experience centres, ensuring they reflect the brand's positioning and design philosophy.
- Lead the design upgradation and refresh of existing experience centres.

2. Materials & Finish Curation

- Build and continuously evolve the studio's material and finish palette.
- Identify new materials and finish combinations that can create distinctive design expressions.
- Develop curated material palettes and finish combinations for different design themes and applications.
- Work with vendors and manufacturers to evaluate quality, availability, visual character, performance, and suitability.
- Establish and maintain a strong network of material and finish suppliers.

Furniture, Lighting & Décor Curation

- Identify and curate products that align with the brand design language.
- Discover new brands, vendors, designers, artisans, and independent makers.
- Develop curated furniture and décor selections for different design themes and applications.
- Build relationships with key vendors, brands, and artisans.
- Evaluate products based on design, quality, craftsmanship, proportion, finish, pricing, and relevance.
- Create and maintain curated libraries of furniture, lighting, décor, fabrics, and accessories.
- Introduce distinctive and unexpected pieces that elevate the overall design experience.

4. Trend, Market & Design Research

- Continuously track global and local design trends across interiors, furniture, materials, lighting, architecture, art, fashion, and lifestyle.
- Research emerging design movements, aesthetics, colour directions, materials, and technologies.
- Conduct competitor and market benchmarking to understand evolving customer expectations and industry direction.
- Research international design studios, furniture brands, exhibitions, fairs, galleries, and design destinations.
- Identify new materials, finishes, products, vendors, artisans, and design opportunities.
- Translate relevant trends into actionable design directions rather than simply following trends.
- Develop periodic trend reports, moodboards, material stories, and design direction presentations for internal teams.

5. Marketing & Brand Support

- Collaborate with the marketing team to translate the brand's design language into robust visual brand communication.
- Support the creation of: 3D visuals, Campaign imagery, Social media content, Design stories
- Provide creative direction for visual content used across marketing and communication channels.




- Support the design and visual direction of events, exhibitions, launches, and brand activations.

6. Creative Library & Design Curation

- Build and maintain a structured creative reference library covering materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, décor, art, colours, textures, and design references.
- Develop curated moodboards and visual references for new design directions.
- Maintain a library of approved and preferred vendors, brands, artisans, and products.
- Document emerging trends, new discoveries, and design references for use by the wider design team.
- Regularly refresh the creative library to prevent design language from becoming repetitive or outdated.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Product Design, Fine Arts, or a related creative discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in interior design, luxury residential design, furniture, styling, creative direction, hospitality, lifestyle, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of high-end residential interiors and contemporary design.
- Strong eye for proportion, colour, materiality, texture, composition, and visual balance.
- Demonstrated experience in design direction and creative curation.
- Strong knowledge of furniture, lighting, decor, materials, finishes, fabrics, and surface treatments.
- Strong network or experience working with vendors, brands, artisans, designers, and creative partners.
- Ability to identify emerging trends while maintaining a strong independent design point of view.
- Strong visual communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop compelling moodboards, material palettes, design narratives, and creative presentations.
- Strong understanding of luxury, premium positioning, and contemporary design aesthetics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead creative discussions, critique work constructively, and influence design decisions.

Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,400,000.00 per year
