Job Summary:

We are hiring 2 Skilled Support Personnel for the routine operation, monitoring, maintenance, and upkeep of the Marine Aquarium at ICAR-CMFRI, Calicut Regional Station. The candidates will work under the supervision of the Scientist-in-Charge / Aquarium In-charge.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and maintain display tanks, filtration units, aeration systems, pumps, lighting, and minor plumbing.
- Test and record water quality parameters, assist in water exchange, and maintain filtration systems.
- Manage feeding, health monitoring, and husbandry of live aquatic organisms, and report any signs of disease or mortality.
- Perform routine cleaning of glass panels, tanks, substrates, and accessories to maintain hygienic conditions.
- Handle aquarium aquascaping, habitat enrichment, and live feed culture preparation.
- Assist in collection, quarantine, stocking, and shifting of aquatic species.




- Maintain daily logs (water quality observations, feeding schedules, stock inventory, and visitor records).
- Assist during student visits, educational exhibits, and institutional events at the aquarium.

Eligibility & Qualifications:

- Education: Minimum Secondary School (10th pass).
- Experience: 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in aquarium maintenance, aquaculture, or fish handling.
- Key Skills: Basic technical understanding of pumps, filtration, water quality management, and marine organism care.

Working Conditions & Pay Structure:

- Working Days: 30 days per month.
- Statutory Benefits: PF& ESI applicable.

Pay: ₹14,000.00 per month
