Job Description
A new agency, the Aga Khan Agency for the Habitat (AKAH), works to ensure that people live in physical settings that are as safe as possible from the effects of natural disasters, that residents who do live in such high risk areas are able to cope with disasters in terms of preparedness and response, and that these settings provide access to social and financial services that lead to greater opportunities and a better quality of life.

Required Skills & Competencies:
- At least 6 years of prior experience working in a similar role.
- Master’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field. Domain knowledge in urban and climate studies would be an added advantage.
- Excellent command over written and spoken English is a must.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, qualified printing/publishing skills are essential.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends, communication practices, tools and techniques on social media is essential.

Interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented and organised.

Job Scope:
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Manager- Communications and Knowledge Management, passionate about climate change and sustainability. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing the research focused communication and media plan of AKAH India to optimize the impact of its various programs. An essential part of the role is the management of regular communications to stakeholders, involving strategic development and management of communications. .
