Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Apigee Architect to lead the design, governance, and operations of enterprise API platforms using Apigee Hybrid and Apigee Edge.

This role requires end-to-end ownership across:
- API Architecture & Design




- Platform Engineering & Operations
- API Governance & Security

The architect will act as a single technical anchor across development, platform, and business teams in a high-scale banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. API Platform Architecture
- Design and govern Apigee Hybrid and Apigee Edge environments
- Define API architecture standards (proxy design, shared flows, versioning)
- Drive API lifecycle governance across teams
- Lead API design reviews and approvals

2. API Development & Governance
- Define reusable API policies and templates
- Guide teams on API orchestration, transformations, and error handling
- Ensure APIs meet banking security and compliance standards
- Drive API standardization and reuse across platforms

3. Platform Engineering & Operations
- Design scalable and highly available API gateway architecture
- Define deployment models, traffic routing, and failover strategies
