Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, client-focused, and passionate Assistant Gallery Manager to support the daily operations, sales, and exhibition programs of our art gallery. This dual operational and commercial role requires a professional who can seamlessly balance high-end client relations with meticulous administrative and logistical management. You will act as the primary point of contact for visitors and artists, assist in driving artwork sales, and ensure the flawless execution of exhibitions and private events.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Relations
- Drive artwork sales by engaging gallery visitors and following up with established collectors.
- Manage client inquiries efficiently across phone, email, and in-person walk-ins.
- Maintain the CRM database, tracking collector preferences, acquisition histories, and leads.
- Facilitate transactions using the gallery's POS system and generate formal invoices.





Gallery Operations & Logistics
- Oversee daily operations to ensure the physical gallery space remains pristine and welcoming.
- Maintain inventory records using database software (e.g., Artlogic) to log dimensions, pricing, and locations.
- Coordinate art shipping and local deliveries, including packing, framing, transit insurance, and customs paperwork.
- Supervise gallery assistants, interns, and seasonal event staff.

Exhibitions & Artist Relations
- Liaise with represented artists regarding upcoming inventory arrivals and documentation updates.
- Assist with curation and the physical layout and lighting installation of new exhibitions.
- Draft exhibition materials, including wall labels, press releases, and digital catalogs.
- Execute special events, managing guest lists, catering, and logistics for private views and talks.

Marketing & Outreach
- Publish social media content to highlight current exhibition
