About the Role
As a Mainframe Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development, enhancement, and support of critical card management and payment processing solutions. You will design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications that support transaction processing, reconciliation, settlement, compliance, and modernization initiatives. Success in this role requires robust technical expertise, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, secure, and reliable solutions. You will play a key role in regulatory compliance, product enhancements, production support, and continuous improvement efforts.
What You Will Be Doing
- Develop, enhance,



and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and related technologies.
- Translate technical and functional designs into high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Design and execute comprehensive unit tests to validate application functionality and performance.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues within defined service level expectations.
- Collaborate with business, product, quality assurance, and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code walkthroughs, and solution reviews.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, test evidence, and change records to support audit and compliance requirements.
- Support modernization, regulatory, security, and compliance initiatives across critical payment systems.
