As part of NorthAxis Advisory, TruNorth is currently working on the India Go to Market strategy and market establishment for a leading US beverage brand.
n

nAs part of this engagement, we are looking for an experienced National Head, Business Development to lead sales development, distribution expansion and channel growth across India.
n

nThe role requires a strong understanding of the FMCG and beverage sector, with preference for professionals who have direct experience in alcoholic beverages and understand the complexities of distribution, trade relationships and state wise market development.
n

Key Responsibilitiesn• Develop and execute the national sales and business development strategy
n• Build and expand distributor and channel partner networks across priority markets
n• Manage distributor relationships, commercial terms, sales targets and market performance
n• Develop relationships with retailers, hospitality groups, institutional buyers and key accounts
n• Drive channel sales, market penetration and revenue growth




n• Identify new markets and develop state wise expansion plans
n• Support pricing, channel structure, trade strategy and market activation
n• Track competition, market trends, distributor performance, inventory and collections
n• Work closely with TruNorth and client leadership on commercial strategy and execution
n

Candidate Profilen• Minimum 12 years of relevant industry experience
n• Solid background in FMCG, beverages or alcoholic beverages
n• Proven experience in distribution management and channel sales
n• Experience in building or expanding distributor networks across multiple markets
n• Strong relationships with distributors, trade partners, retailers and key accounts
n• Sound commercial understanding with strong negotiation and relationship management skills
n• Ability to independently develop markets and take ownership of business growth
