REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of piping design, modeling, and detailing.
- Hands-on experience with EMS tools such as:
- AVEVA E3D / PDMS / SP3D / AutoCAD / Smart Plant
- Solid understanding of piping materials, supports, valves, and fittings.
- Familiarity with clash detection and model review processes.

Quality & Compliance

- Strong understanding of QA/QC methodologies in engineering projects.
- Experience in model audits, drawing checks, and compliance reviews.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems is an advantage.

Soft Skills

- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work across multiple projects in a quick-paced EMS environment.
- Client-facing experience preferred.

Role & responsibilities

- Implement and monitor QA/ QC procedures for piping engineering and modeling activities.
- Review and approve piping deliverables including:
- 3D piping models (SP3D, PDMS/E3D, AVEVA, Plant 3D, etc.)
- Piping GA drawings, isometrics, and layouts
- MTOs, BOMs, and line lists
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.





Standards & Compliance

- Verify compliance with international codes and standards such as:
- ASME B31.1 / B31.3 / B31.4 / B31.8
- API, ASTM, ISO, and client-specific standards
- Ensure correct application of piping material specifications (PMS) and stress requirements.

Model & Drawing Audits

- Conduct regular model audits and drawing checks at various project stages (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC).
- Identify non-conformances and raise NCRs where applicable.
- Track closure of QA/QC observations and corrective actions.

Project & Client Coordination

- Interface with engineering, stress, material, and construction teams to resolve quality issues.
- Participate in internal and client review meetings, model reviews, and audits.
- Support responses to client comments and third-party reviews.

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain QA/QC records, checklists, and audit reports.

Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities for improving quality processes, checklists, and workflows.
- Mentor junior engineers and modelers on quality standards and best practices.
