Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IPDRG CDI Specialist with an MBBS background and strong clinical and inpatient DRG experience. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation, identifying documentation gaps, supporting accurate DRG assignment, and improving the overall quality and completeness of inpatient medical records.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review inpatient medical records and clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Identify documentation gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities impacting IPDRG assignment.
- Apply strong knowledge of inpatient coding, DRG methodology, and clinical documentation.
- Support accurate diagnosis and procedure documentation for appropriate DRG assignment.
- Review clinical indicators and medical documentation to ensure appropriate representation of the patient's condition.




- Raise or support appropriate documentation queries when clarification is required.
- Collaborate with coding, clinical, and healthcare teams to improve documentation quality.
- Ensure adherence to applicable coding, CDI, compliance, and quality standards.
- Maintain productivity, accuracy, and quality benchmarks.
- Required Skills & Qualifications:

- MBBS – Mandatory.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant clinical experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on IPDRG experience.
- Strong understanding of clinical documentation and inpatient medical records.
- Good knowledge of IPDRG / DRG concepts and inpatient coding.
- Robust analytical, communication, and clinical interpretation skills.
- Ability to identify documentation gaps and recommend appropriate clarification.
- CDI/Medical Coding certification is not mandatory.
