We are looking for a skilled Scala Developer to join a high-performing Agile team. The candidate will work closely with business users and development teams to design, develop, test, and support scalable applications and distributed systems.

This is a hands-on technical role where the majority of time will be spent designing, coding, testing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions.

Role & Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Scala.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Develop unit tests and support automated testing practices.
- Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine technical requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and continuous integration activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.




- Work within Linux/Unix environments and follow coding best practices.
- Ensure timely delivery of quality software solutions.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 2-8 years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in Scala or Functional Programming.
- Experience writing Unit Tests and Acceptance Tests.
- Strong problem-solving, algorithm, and data structure skills.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and messaging technologies.
- Experience with Kafka, Akka, or event-driven architectures is preferred.
- Exposure to REST APIs, Microservices, and CI/CD practices.
- Robust communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for technology, learning, and software quality.
