Role & responsibilities:

- Lead accounting service delivery across multiple not-for-profit client engagements, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely completion of financial reporting activities.
- Oversee accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger activities, and periodic financial reporting.
- Review and approve complex financial statements and client deliverables, including multi entity and nonprofit-specific reporting requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client engagements, maintaining strong relationships and resolving accounting or operational issues proactively.
- Manage engagement timelines, resource allocation, project priorities, and client expectations across multiple engagements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Associates and Seniors through coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing support. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency across client engagements.
- Ensure compliance with firm methodologies, accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality expectations.




- Support business development initiatives by identifying opportunities for additional services, process enhancements, or technology solutions.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex matters and promote consistent application of accounting principles and best practices.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging accounting technologies to support continuous improvement and innovation

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree required.
- 5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, CaseWare, Ramp, or other ERP/accounting systems preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll processes, and financial reporting requirements.
- Proven experience reviewing financial transactions, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Robust organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
