Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Diploma holder in Molecular Biology / Enzyme Technology to support day-to-day laboratory research and experimental activities. The candidate will work under the supervision of senior scientists and assist in sample preparation, basic molecular biology/enzyme-related experiments, laboratory maintenance, documentation, and data recording.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist scientists and research associates in routine laboratory experiments.
- Perform basic molecular biology techniques such as sample preparation, pipetting, DNA/RNA handling, and gel electrophoresis, as trained.
- Assist with enzyme technology activities, including enzyme production, assay preparation, activity testing, and sample processing.
- Prepare buffers, media, reagents, and laboratory solutions according to approved SOPs.
- Handle laboratory equipment and maintain proper records of equipment usage.
- Maintain microbial cultures and samples as per laboratory SOPs and safety procedures.
- Perform accurate weighing, pipetting, dilution, and sample preparation.
- Record experimental observations, results, and batch/sample details accurately.
- Maintain laboratory notebooks,



worksheets, and other experimental documentation.
- Assist in inventory monitoring of chemicals, reagents, consumables, and laboratory supplies.
- Report any equipment malfunction, abnormal observations, or experimental deviations to the supervisor.
- Support routine troubleshooting and repeat experiments when required.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and tracking of samples and reagents.
- Participate in other laboratory activities assigned by the reporting manager/scientist.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Enzyme Technology.
- Good laboratory practices and basic biosafety awareness.
- Basic understanding of microorganisms, enzymes, DNA/RNA, proteins, and laboratory procedures.
- Good pipetting and sample-handling skills.
- Ability to follow SOPs and work accurately.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer skills, particularly MS Excel and Word.
- Willingness to learn new laboratory techniques and work under supervision.
- Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
