Qualification: Diploma / B.Sc. in Dialysis Technology.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate haemodialysis machines, ensuring proper functioning.
- Assist with patient positioning, monitor vital signs, and provide comfort during treatments.
- Perform dialysis as per protocol, including femoral dialysis.
- Care for vascular access and other open wounds.
- Handle dialysis-related emergencies and management.
- Reprocess dialysers with all required precautions as per protocol.
- Maintain inventory and report supply shortages.
- Report equipment malfunction to the concerned department.
- Operate and monitor the RO water treatment system.
- Perform routine RO maintenance and troubleshooting and maintain water quality records.
- Monitor patients for complications during treatment and report abnormal findings promptly.
- Follow infection control, sterilization, and patient safety protocols.
- Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of dialysis machines and patient areas.
- Maintain accurate patient, treatment, equipment, and RO system records.
- Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
- Respond to patient emergencies and assist with critical interventions when required.
Skills Required
- Strong technical knowledge of dialysis equipment.
- Knowledge of RO water treatment systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Positive communication and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to remain calm during emergencies.
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols.
