Steward Responsibilities

Maintaining Cleanliness

- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Clean floors, walls, and surfaces in food preparation and service areas.

Dishwashing Duties

- Operate dishwashing machines and manually wash dishes, glassware, cutlery, and cooking utensils.

Waste Management

- Properly dispose of kitchen waste and recycling according to hygiene and safety regulations.

Inventory Support

- Assist in receiving, unloading, and organizing kitchen supplies and deliveries.
- Notify supervisors of low stock or damaged items.

Support to Kitchen Staff

- Provide support to chefs and kitchen staff during busy hours.
- Transport ingredients, tools, and equipment as needed.

Compliance with Hygiene Standards

- Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines (e.g., HACCP, FSSAI).
- Wear appropriate uniforms, gloves, and safety gear.

Equipment Maintenance

- Report any faulty or broken kitchen equipment to the supervisor for repair or replacement.

Setup and Breakdown

- Help with setup and cleanup for food service, buffets, or events.
