Primary mandate skill required – 6 to 8 years of Akamai WAF & CDN experience is mandatory Secondary mandate skill required – Imperva / Barracuda WAF Open to look at CWR’s – Yes / No - Yes Adaptable to hire in any location – If not, please mention job location – Chennai / Bangalore Level of hiring (A/SA/M/SM): A/SA Shift Time: Rotational Detailed Job Description: Manage Akamai Technology Features like Web Application Firewall (WAF),DDoS, Bot Manager, Account protector, Client Reputation and related settings Configure Akamai edge servers, manage cache policies, and optimize content routing Own end-to-end CDN/WAF projects, from initial architecture and stakeholder planning through to successful implementation, configuration, and post-deployment support and optimization Strong, in-depth knowledge of web delivery architecture, advanced caching techniques, DNS, SSL/TLS certificate management, and the nuances of HTTP/HTTPS protocols. Troubleshoot any network issues, resolve false positives, and perform root cause analysis (RCA) during security or performance incidents Proactively optimize edge delivery,



performance, and security by leveraging advanced Akamai features, including intelligent caching strategies, traffic management, and sophisticated bot-fighting techniques Conduct the technical review with Akamai and application teams on challenges during onboarding application/services Configure WAF/DDOS/Client Rep/Bot/Account Protector/CDN & Edge optimization ITSM Incident management for Service Availability, Connectivity Issues, access issues, performance issues, troubleshooting requests. Review data in Akamai portal to help identify any security related events that are related to ongoing security incidents or issues such as WAF, DDoS or Platform related issues. Handling alerts or incident requests related to application layer attacks, abnormal malicious traffic, DDOS attacks, bot attacks, etc. Reporting on Akamai alerts to respective application teams for potential follow up. Gather & document & track progress of Akamai tuning requirements.
