Director of Photography (DOP) Advertising | Branded Content | Documentaries | Series | Music Videos Vortex Studios is looking for experienced Directors of Photography (DOPs) and Cinematographers to join our growing creative production network. We're currently developing and producing a number of exciting campaigns, documentaries, series and brand-led projects, and we're looking to connect with cinematographers who can bring a distinctive visual point of view to the work while understanding the realities of commercial production. We're open to full-time, freelance and project-based collaborations. What we do Our work spans: Ad Films & Commercials Brand Films & Branded Content Digital & Short-Format Content Documentaries & Documentary Series Episodic / Branded Series Music Videos Event & Culture Films Social-First Content And other formats that don't necessarily fit neatly into a box Who we're looking for We're looking for DOPs / Cinematographers who have already worked in the advertising, branded content, production house, agency or content studio ecosystem. You should have a strong body of work and a clear understanding of how to translate a creative idea, script or treatment into a compelling visual language. We're particularly interested in people who: Have a robust portfolio of commercial, branded, documentary or narrative work. Have a distinct understanding of lighting, composition, camera movement, lenses, colour and visual storytelling. Can develop and execute a visual language that serves the story and the brief. Are comfortable collaborating closely with directors, creative teams, agencies and production teams. Can work across different formats, scales and visual styles. Understand the practical realities of locations, equipment, crew,



schedules and budgets. Can build and lead the right camera, lighting and technical teams for a project. Can adapt creatively without losing their own visual sensibility. Are equally comfortable with controlled commercial environments and more unpredictable, real-world filmmaking. Care deeply about the craft and the final image. We're interested in cinematographers who don't simply make things look beautiful, but understand why a frame should look the way it does.
