Job Description: Tech Lead Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai (On-site) Department: Tech Working Days: 5 days a week Shift: Flexible working hours Experience: 10–12years Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead to own and drive the technology function across front-end and back-end development. You will lead a team of developers, take architectural and technical decisions, and ensure the timely, high-quality delivery of web applications and features. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Laravel and JavaScript, along with the ability to mentor a team, review code, and collaborate closely with product, design, and operations to build scalable systems for a fast-growing e-commerce jewellery brand. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design, development, and delivery of full stack web applications across front-end and back-end. • Own technical architecture decisions for the platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. • Manage, mentor, and guide a team of front-end and back-end developers, setting best practices and coding standards. • Review code, conduct design/architecture reviews, and ensure quality across the codebase. • Plan sprints, break down requirements into technical tasks, and manage timelines and delivery. • Build and maintain backend systems and APIs using Laravel, and oversee front-end development using JavaScript. • Identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and process gaps, and drive fixes and improvements. • Collaborate with product, design, QA, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Oversee deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and production stability,



and lead incident resolution when issues arise. • Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve the tech stack. Requirements • 10–12 years of hands-on software development experience, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior technical role. • Strong hands-on expertise in Laravel (PHP framework) for backend development. • Strong command of JavaScript, with solid experience across both front-end and back-end development. • Proven experience architecting and scaling web applications and RESTful APIs. • Experience managing or mentoring a team of developers. • Strong understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), system design, and application security. • Hands-on experience with Git, code review processes, and CI/CD pipelines. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical trade-offs. • Excellent communication skills to work across engineering, product, and business teams. Preferred Background • Experience with Node.js and Express in addition to Laravel. • Familiarity with a modern front-end framework such as React or Vue. • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar) and containerized deployments (Docker). • Experience working in a fast-growing startup or scale-up environment.
