Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer with strong web development and design experience, along with good knowledge of Canva. The ideal candidate should be able to build, customize, maintain, and visually enhance WordPress websites.

Key Responsibilities

WordPress Development

- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites.
- Customize themes, plugins, templates, and page builders.
- Develop custom themes and plugins when required.
- Build responsive and mobile-friendly websites.
- Work with custom post types, taxonomies, menus, and widgets.
- Use WordPress hooks, actions, filters, and template hierarchy.
- Integrate third-party APIs, tools, and services.
- Handle website updates, backups, migrations, and maintenance.

Design & Canva
- Create and edit website layouts, landing pages, banners, and visual assets.
- Use Canva to create website graphics, banners, social media creatives, and digital assets.
- Convert design concepts into responsive WordPress pages.
- Maintain consistent branding, typography, colors, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
- Ensure designs work well across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Collaborate with marketing/content teams on website and promotional visuals.

Performance & Maintenance
- Optimize website speed and performance.
- Troubleshoot bugs, errors,



and browser compatibility issues.
- Apply basic WordPress security best practices.
- Manage hosting, plugins, themes, and website-related issues.
- Maintain clean, scalable, and well-structured code.

Required Skills

- 1 to 2+ years of experience in WordPress development.
- Solid knowledge of WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Good working knowledge of Canva.
- Understanding of web design principles, including layouts, typography, colors, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar page builders.
- Experience with theme and plugin customization.
- Knowledge of WordPress hooks, actions, filters, and template hierarchy.
- Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and website performance.
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.

Nice to Have
- Experience developing custom WordPress themes/plugins.
- Experience building landing pages and marketing websites.
- Knowledge of Photoshop or Illustrator.
- Experience with Cloudflare, CDN, caching, or security tools.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics and Search Console.
- Understanding of Core Web Vitals and technical SEO.
- Experience working on SaaS or B2B websites.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Design, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or training are a plus.
