About the Role

Accountrust Outsourcing Services LLP is looking for an experienced UK Personal Tax Specialist with at least 3 years of practical UK Personal Tax experience.

The candidate should be able to independently manage UK Self Assessment, client queries and HMRC matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, review and submit UK Self Assessment Tax Returns.
- Handle employment, self-employment, property, dividends, interest, capital gains and foreign income.
- Calculate tax liabilities, reliefs, allowances and allowable expenses.
- Review P60s, P45s, SA302s, bank statements and supporting documents.
- Handle HMRC correspondence, notices and tax queries.
- Communicate directly with UK clients and HMRC by phone, email and online services.
- Handle UTR/Self Assessment registrations, amendments and payment-related queries.




- Identify and resolve discrepancies in tax returns and HMRC records.
- Maintain accurate client records and working papers.
- Manage multiple client cases and meet deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on UK Personal Tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of UK Self Assessment and HMRC procedures.
- Proven experience dealing with UK clients and HMRC.
- Robust written and verbal English communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/tax software.
- Experience with UK tax software is an advantage.

Preferred Candidate We are looking for someone who can manage a client from start to finish from collecting information and preparing the tax return to submission, client communication and HMRC follow-up.
