Job Title: Store Manager Premium HomeFurnishing & Lifestyle Brand

We seek an experienced Store Manager to run our flagship homefurnishing store.

The Store

Manager will lead all store operations and drive sales growth and profitability, ensuring we meet or exceed targets and KPIs. They will also create an outstanding luxury customer experience through toptier service and brandcompliant visual merchandising. The manager will control the store P&L; (budget, costs and inventory) and ensure full compliance with company policies and safety standards. This role requires strong retail acumen and a passion for lifestyle retail.

Role & Responsibilities

Operations: Manage all daytoday store operations (opening/closing procedures, cash reconciliation, equipment checks). Implement store SOPs and maintain a clean, secure store environment.

Sales Management: Drive retail sales for furniture and home dcor. Analyze sales figures and market trends, adjusting plans to meet targets. Ensure storefront performance (foot traffic, conversion) meets goals.

Team/People: Lead the store team: hire, train and coach staff; schedule shifts; motivate through performance incentives. Foster a positive work culture and handle performance issues or disciplinary actions professionally.

Visual Merchandising: Execute and maintain premium in-store displays. Ensure merchandise is attractively presented and consistent with brand guidelines. Refresh displays regularly for campaigns or seasons.

Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels and turnover. Conduct stock audits and cycle counts. Coordinate with warehouse/logistics on deliveries and returns to minimize stockouts and excess.

P&L; & Budgeting: Own the stores P&L; control expenses, set budgets. Track profitability and margins. Prepare financial reports (sales, expenses) and implement corrective actions if targets arent met.

Customer Experience:



Ensure exceptional service at all times. Develop clienteling (followup with loyal customers, designers, architects) to drive repeat business. Handle VIP and HNI clientele personally, if applicable.

Vendor & Marketing Coordination: Work with vendors and marketing to plan promotions/events. Ensure product sourcing aligns with store needs and market demands. Provide feedback to buyers on product trends.

Compliance: Enforce all company policies and legal requirements. Maintain high standards of health & safety and loss prevention (target: zero major incidents). Ensure readiness for audits and certifications.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management or related field; an MBA/PGDM in Retail Management or Marketing is highly desirable.

Experience: 5–10 years in retail management, with at least 3–5 years as a Store Manager (or Assistant Manager in a comparable role). Experience in home furnishings, furniture, luxury/lifestyle retail or interiors is preferred. Prior P&L; responsibility and managing mid-sized teams are a plus.

Industry Background: Ideally from premium retail sectors (home dcor, furniture, consumer durables or luxury brands). Familiarity with seasonal product cycles (e.g. festivals) is beneficial. Exposure to omni-channel (e-commerce) retail is an advantage.

Certifications: Relevant retail management certifications (e.g. in visual merchandising or inventory systems) or short courses in leadership/P&L; are advantageous. Proficiency with retail POS/ERP systems (e.g. Tally, SAP Retail) is expected.
