After providing direct intervention services to persons with neurodevelopmental disabilities in Bangalore for over a decade, we have now started a Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) center in Ramanagara to cater to the needs of the local population, focusing on vocational training & livelihood.

Description

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker for a Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Center in Ramanagara. This role will be instrumental in facilitating the transition from therapy to livelihood for adolescents, adults and caregivers

Skills Required

1. Demonstrable or relevant rural rapport-building skills
2. Proficient in Office tools and Google Products

3. Excellent organisational skills

4. Ability to multitask
5. Critical thinker and problem solver
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Kannada and English

Responsibilities

1. Skill Assessment: Identify the vocational interests and aptitudes of PwDs and Caregivers
2. Curriculum Development: Create local-market-aligned training modules (e.g., tailoring, horticulture, or local crafts)
3. Livelihood Support:



Assist in setting up small-scale income-generation activities within the CBR
4. Job Coaching: Provide soft-skills training and support in Supported Employment setups
5. Traveling across the district to support partnership building, program implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

6. Help in organisation development

Ideal Candidate

1. Graduates in Social Work, Development, or Rural Development
2. Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation (IDD) or equivalent
3. 2+ years of experience in skill-building for PwDs
4. Understands the functioning of a non-profit and can contribute to disability sector at large

Valuable-to-have Skills I. If you have worked for a non-profit/NGO/start-up before

1. If you have previously worked in rural Karnataka at the grassroots level
