1. Designation (Role): VMC Operator & Programmer

2. Department (Functional Area): Tool Room

3. Reporting To: HOD

4. Company/Working Location: Moraiya, Ahmedabad (Gujarat)

5. Salary: 3.00 LPA – 4.20 LPA

6. Qualification: ITI / Diploma – Mechanical / Machinist / Turner

7. Experience: 2 Years Plus

Job Responsibilities:Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Operate and program VMC machines for tool room requirements.
- Prepare and modify VMC programs as per component drawings and job requirements.
- Understand and use G-Codes and M-Codes for VMC programming.
- Set machine parameters, work offsets, tool offsets, and cutting parameters.
- Perform tool setting, job setting, and fixture setting.




- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and maintain required product quality.
- Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot basic machining/process issues.
- Carry out tool selection and tool change as required.
- Achieve daily production targets while maintaining productivity and efficiency.
- Coordinate with Quality and Maintenance teams for smooth production.
- Minimize rejection, rework, tool wear, and material wastage.
- Maintain production records, machine records, and shift reports.
- Ensure proper machine housekeeping and follow safety procedures.
- Follow 5S and Kaizen practices on the shop floor.
- Support process improvement and cycle-time reduction activities.

Required Skills:
- Good knowledge of VMC Machine Operations & Programming
- Knowledge of G-Codes and M-Codes
- VMC Job Setting and Tool Setting
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, etc.
- Basic troubleshooting of VMC machines
- Production planning and target achievement
- Quality awareness and rejection control
- Problem-solving skills
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Awareness of 5S, Kaizen, and Safety Practices
