The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and executing the visual side of our productions, from news and interviews to documentaries, YouTube content, social media videos, corporate films, advertisements, and branded campaigns.As a DOP, you will work closely with producers, directors, anchors, reporters, editors, and creative teams to develop a strong visual language and ensure every production meets a high professional standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the cinematography and camera operations for news, digital, commercial, and branded productions.
- Plan and execute camera setups based on the creative brief, script, location, and production requirements.
- Determine appropriate camera angles, framing, lenses, camera movements, lighting, and visual style.
- Operate professional cinema, DSLR, and mirrorless camera systems.
- Capture high-quality footage for:

- Events & Live Productions
- Develop visual concepts and translate creative ideas into compelling cinematography.
- Work with directors and producers to establish the overall look and feel of each production.
- Select appropriate lenses, camera settings, frame rates, resolution, and recording formats.
- Plan and execute camera movements using tripods, sliders, gimbals, handheld rigs, and other stabilization systems.
- Design and execute lighting setups for interviews, studio shoots, locations, and commercial productions.
- Manage exposure, focus, white balance, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and picture profiles.
- Work with Log, RAW, and other professional recording formats when required.
- Capture cinematic B-roll, establishing shots, close-ups, wide shots, tracking shots, and creative sequences.
- Ensure consistent visual quality across multi-camera productions.
- Monitor footage during production and identify technical or creative issues immediately.
- Coordinate with sound, lighting, production, and post-production teams.
- Collaborate with editors to ensure footage is captured in a way that supports efficient post-production and color grading.
- Maintain consistency in color, exposure, composition, and visual continuity throughout a production.
- Manage and organize footage, memory cards, backups, and production files.
- Ensure cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, and accessories are properly maintained and production-ready.
- Troubleshoot basic camera, lighting, and technical issues on location.
- Stay updated with new cinematography techniques, camera technology, lenses, lighting equipment, and industry trends.
- Work efficiently under tight deadlines, including time-sensitive news and digital productions.
- Travel to different locations for shoots and field assignments when required.

Lighting & Visual Direction
- Design lighting setups based on the mood, subject, location, and production style.
- Create professional lighting for interviews, studio productions, advertisements, and cinematic content.
- Understand key light, fill light, backlight, practical lighting, and natural light.
- Use lighting creatively to enhance subjects and storytelling.
- Maintain consistent lighting and exposure across multiple shots and locations.
Post-Production Knowledge While the primary responsibility is cinematography, knowledge of post-production workflows is preferred. Experience with:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- DaVinci Resolve
- Final Cut Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Audition
- Adobe Photoshop
- Knowledge of color grading and professional post-production workflows will be a strong advantage.
Requirements
- 2 to 6 years of professional experience as a Cameraman, Cinematographer, DOP, Camera Operator, or similar role.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating professional cinematography and camera work.
- Strong understanding of lighting, composition, lenses, and camera systems.
- Experience working on commercial, digital, media, film, or branded productions.
- Ability to independently manage camera and lighting setups.
- Strong visual storytelling skills and creative judgment.
- Ability to understand scripts, briefs, storyboards, and creative direction.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Willingness to travel for shoots and field assignments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours depending on production and news requirements.
- A valid driving license will be an advantage.
