About Kickstart

Kickstart Creative Studio is a media production and social media company helping brands, businesses, and individuals create content that gets attention and drives business.

We work across real estate, corporate, architecture, lifestyle, fitness, education, and other growing brands, producing everything from social media reels to professional brand films and event content.

We're looking for a Video Editor who understands content, not just editing.

What You'll Do

- Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form content
- Edit talking-head videos with strong pacing, captions, B-roll, sound effects and transitions
- Create engaging edits with strong hooks, retention and storytelling
- Edit corporate events, real estate videos, brand films and promotional content
- Work with raw footage from professional cameras, phones and other production setups
- Select the best shots and build a compelling story from raw footage
- Add music, sound design, motion graphics, subtitles and visual effects where required
- Create different editing styles based on the client's brand and target audience
- Work closely with the creative and production team to execute content ideas
- Take feedback positively and make revisions quickly
- Stay updated with Instagram trends, editing styles, formats and content trends
- Maintain consistency in quality, branding and delivery timelines

What We're Looking ForMust Have
- Good command of Adobe Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut Pro
- Strong understanding of short-form content and social media editing
- Good sense of pacing, storytelling and music selection
- Understanding of framing, composition and basic cinematography




- Ability to create clean and engaging subtitles/captions
- Basic knowledge of After Effects / motion graphics is a plus
- Ability to work with deadlines and handle multiple projects
- Good attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and experiment with current editing styles

More Important Than Experience We're looking for someone who can look at a piece of content and think:

“How do I make someone stop scrolling?”

You should understand why an edit works — not just know which buttons to press.

- Real estate / corporate / event video editing
- Basic thumbnail design
- AI-assisted editing tools
- Understanding of social media analytics and audience retention
