Role Description The Video Editing Intern role is a remote internship focused on supporting media and marketing initiatives at Laneway. Day-to-day responsibilities include editing video content for social media and digital campaigns, assembling footage, and applying basic color grading to ensure visual consistency. The intern will collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to incorporate motion graphics and simple graphic elements that align with brand guidelines.
Additional tasks may include adapting content into different formats,
organizing media assets, and contributing ideas to enhance video storytelling and audience engagement. This role offers exposure to real-world client projects and an opportunity to build a strong portfolio while learning from a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Ability to work with Video Production and Video Editing tools to assemble and refine video content.
- Foundational skills in Video Color Grading to adjust tone, contrast, and visual consistency.
- Experience or interest in Motion Graphics and Graphics for creating titles, overlays, and simple visual elements.
- Familiarity with common editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar).
- Solid attention to detail, time management, and ability to follow brand and project guidelines.
- Good communication skills and comfort collaborating in a remote, digital-first environment.
- Portfolio or samples showcasing video editing or motion graphics work (academic, self-initiated, or freelance) are highly beneficial.
- Ongoing studies or recent coursework in film, media, design, communications, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
