Role Description The Vice Chancellor role at Rathinam Global Deemed to be university is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore, responsible for providing strategic academic and administrative leadership across the group’s higher education institutions.

The Vice

Chancellor oversees academic programs, quality assurance, accreditation processes, and curriculum development to ensure alignment with national and international standards.



Day-to-day responsibilities include leading faculty and academic teams, guiding research initiatives, fostering industry partnerships—particularly with the IT and technology ecosystem on campus—and promoting innovation in teaching and learning. The role involves managing regulatory compliance, budgeting and resource allocation, and governance processes, while maintaining a solid focus on student success, community engagement, and institutional reputation.

Chancellor also represents Rathinam Global in external forums, builds collaborations with national and global partners, and drives long-term strategic planning for growth and excellence.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

- Ph.D. in Engineering, Technology or an allied discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of Professor-level / equivalent academic experience as per applicable UGC norms.
- 15+ years of academic and research leadership experience preferred.
- Proven experience in University Administration, Academic Governance and Institutional Development .
- Strong credentials in Research, Innovation, Patents and Sponsored Projects .
- Experience in NAAC/NBA/NIRF, Industry-Academia Collaboration and International Partnerships preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic growth, academic excellence and institutional transformation .
- Candidates with experience as VC / Pro-VC / Director / Dean / Senior Professor will be preferred.
- Age and eligibility must comply with applicable UGC regulations.
