- Minimum 3 years shipyard experience preferred.

- Carry out surface preparation, smoothing, and finishing of metal structures, hulls, and pipes using angle grinders, pneumatic tools, and heavy-duty grinding equipment.

- Prepare metal edges for welding (including beveling and chamfering) and remove excess weld reinforcement, spatter, slag, and surface defects.

- Inspect ground surfaces to ensure they meet quality and smoothness specifications before coating, testing, or final assembly

- Assist fitters, fabricators, and welders with metal preparation, alignment, and finishing tasks as required.

- Follow strict HSE guidelines, use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as face shields and respiratory gear, and ensure safe operation of high-speed rotating tools

- Coordinate with supervisors, fitters, and welders for smooth workflow execution.

- Maintain rigorous housekeeping at the work area, ensuring secure management and disposal of metal scrap, dust, and grinding debris.
