About MusafirBaba

MusafirBaba is a travel company offering domestic and international tour packages, customised holidays, tourist visa assistance, hotel and flight bookings, and other travel services.

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Travel Consultant who can handle travel enquiries, recommend suitable holidays and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.

Role Overview

As a Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for handling customer enquiries for domestic and international holidays, understanding their travel requirements, preparing customised itineraries and quotations, following up with prospects and closing bookings.

The ideal candidate should have 2–3 years of practical experience in selling domestic and international tour packages and should understand the complete sales process from enquiry to booking.

Experience in tourist visa sales/documentation will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Travel Sales

- Explain inclusions, exclusions, hotel options, transportation, sightseeing and other package details clearly.
- Negotiate with customers while maintaining company margins.
- Follow up with leads through calls, WhatsApp and other communication channels.
- Convert qualified enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Maintain regular follow-ups until the customer makes a final decision.

2. Domestic & International Holidays

Handle sales for destinations such as:

- Malaysia
- Vietnam
- Europe
- Maldives
- Other popular domestic and international destinations

The candidate should be comfortable learning and selling new destinations as the company's product portfolio expands. 3. Customer Consultation

- Understand the customer's actual travel needs rather than simply selling the cheapest package.
- Suggest suitable hotels, transportation, sightseeing and activities based on the customer's budget.
- Provide practical destination advice.
- Handle customer questions and objections professionally.
- Build trust and maintain strong customer relationships.

- Ensure customers have a clear understanding of the package before booking.

4. Quotation & Itinerary Preparation

- Prepare customised travel itineraries.
- Calculate package costs and selling prices accurately.

- Ensure quotations are commercially viable and maintain required margins.

- Respond to new enquiries promptly.
- Maintain accurate lead information and follow-up records.
- Prioritise hot and high-intent leads.
- Conduct regular follow-ups through calls and WhatsApp.
- Understand why a lead has not converted and try appropriate alternatives.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of active prospects.
- Update CRM or internal sales records regularly.

6. Booking & Coordination

Once a customer confirms the package:

- Collect required booking information and payments.
- Coordinate with the operations team for booking execution.
- Confirm hotels, transportation, sightseeing and other services.
- Ensure the final itinerary matches what was sold to the customer.
- Coordinate with customers before departure for any last-minute requirements.
- Support the customer until the trip begins and coordinate with operations for any necessary assistance during the trip.

Tourist Visa Experience – Added Advantage

Experience in tourist visa services will be an advantage.

Candidates with visa-sales experience may also be required to:

- Understand basic tourist visa requirements.
- Explain documentation requirements to customers.
- Identify suitable visa options based on the destination.
- Coordinate with the visa documentation team.
- Follow up with customers for pending documents.

- Experience with B2C travel sales.
- Existing knowledge of international destinations.
- Experience working with hotels, DMCs and travel suppliers.
- Experience with CRM software.
- Previous experience in a travel agency, tour operator or OTA.
