Job Overview

We are looking for a creative and experienced Home Textile Designer with 2–3 years of relevant experience to join our Design & Product Development team.

The candidate will be responsible for developing commercial home textile designs, CADs, colourways, product presentations, and design concepts based on market trends and buyer requirements.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of home textile products and be able to work independently from concept development to sample stage while coordinating with merchandising and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop CAD designs and product presentations for home textile products.
- Create new and commercially viable designs for kitchen towels, cushions, table linen, bags, bath textiles, bed linen, and other home textile products.
- Develop colourways, pattern variations, and design adaptations based on buyer requirements.
- Work with prints, embroidery, weaving, checks, stripes, dobby, jacquard, and other textile techniques.
- Create design concepts, mood boards, colour stories, and trend presentations.
- Modify and develop designs based on buyer feedback, comments, and market requirements.
- Understand buyer references and convert them into production-friendly textile designs.
- Coordinate closely with the merchandising, sampling, production, and sourcing teams during product development.
- Prepare artwork and CADs in the required formats for sampling and production.
- Maintain well-organized design files,



artwork, colour references, and product development records.
- Research current home textile trends, colours, patterns, prints, materials, and market inspirations.
- Develop new product and design ideas suitable for international markets and export buyers.
- Support the team in preparing sample presentations, buyer presentations, and product development collections.
- Review samples and suggest necessary design, colour, construction, or artwork improvements.
- Take ownership of assigned design developments and complete them within agreed timelines.

Skills & Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in home textile, textile design, fashion, print design, or a related industry.
- Good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of colours, patterns, prints, repeats, layouts, and textile design.
- Good knowledge of CAD development and repeat pattern creation.
- Ability to develop designs based on buyer references, trends, and commercial requirements.
- Understanding of different textile techniques such as printing, embroidery, weaving, checks, stripes, and fabric construction.




- Ability to create commercial and production-friendly designs, not only conceptual designs.
- Good attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple design developments at the same time.
- Good English communication skills for understanding buyer requirements and coordinating with internal teams.
- Good teamwork, organization, and time-management skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience working with international home textile buyers or export-oriented companies.
- Knowledge of home textile product development and sampling processes.
- Experience creating textile repeat patterns, placement prints, engineered designs, and colourways.
- Knowledge of printing, embroidery, weaving, yarn-dyed fabrics, jacquard, and other textile constructions.
- Ability to identify commercial trends and convert them into marketable product designs.
- Experience preparing buyer presentations and product collections.
- Solid portfolio demonstrating home textile CADs and product development work.
