We are seeking a Senior Technical Lead / Engineering Manager to lead the development of AI-powered applications that combine modern web technologies, LLMs, vector search, and backend services. This role balances technical leadership, architecture ownership, team development, and hands-on engineering. You will guide a small, highly skilled team while driving delivery across frontend, backend, data, and AI platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical direction, architecture, and execution of AI-enabled products across frontend, backend, database, and AI layers.

Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and career development support.

Drive technical planning, sprint execution, and delivery of complex cross-functional initiatives.

Establish engineering best practices for system design, code quality, reliability, security, testing, and observability.

Guide the design and development of production-grade Python services and APIs using FastAPI and PostgreSQL.

Oversee development of modern React applications and reusable UI frameworks using TypeScript.

Lead the integration of LLMs, embedding models, vector databases, and RAG-based architectures into production systems.

Facilitate architecture reviews, design discussions, technical decision-making, and code review processes.

Partner with Product, UX, Data Science, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions.

Identify technical risks, manage dependencies, and drive successful delivery of strategic AI initiatives.

Contribute hands-on to critical architectural components and complex technical challenges when needed.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership responsibilities.

2+ years of experience leading engineering teams, technical projects, or large-scale software initiatives.





Strong Python expertise, including FastAPI, async programming, modern typing practices, and scalable service design.

Strong PostgreSQL experience, including schema design, migrations, performance tuning, and data architecture.

Strong React and TypeScript experience building and leading development of production web applications.

Hands-on experience with:

o TanStack ecosystem

Vite shadcn/ui pnpm

Experience defining architecture and engineering standards for modern full-stack applications.

Experience integrating OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM platforms.

Strong understanding of embeddings, vector databases, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and AI application design patterns.

Experience establishing testing strategies, CI/CD practices, and quality engineering standards.

Proven ability to lead distributed teams, align stakeholders, and drive execution across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Robust communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence technical direction and organizational outcomes.

Nice to Have

Experience leading AI/ML product development teams.

Experience with LLM evaluation frameworks, golden datasets, model monitoring, and AI testing strategies.

Familiarity with tokenization, caching, inference optimization, and LLM infrastructure concepts.

Experience with dependency injection, repository patterns, domain-driven design, and enterprise architecture practices.

Experience managing engineering roadmaps, resource planning, and technical prioritization.

Experience in financial services, banking technology, or other highly regulated enterprise environments.

Experience designing reusable enterprise platforms that support multiple AI products and use cases.
