Role Description The Honorary State President – Veterans India will provide strategic leadership for Veterans India activities within the state, coordinating programs and initiatives that promote nationalism, patriotism, and civic responsibility. This full-time hybrid role is based in Lucknow, with regular on-site engagements, meetings, and events, complemented by some work-from-home flexibility for planning, coordination, and administrative tasks. The role involves leading state-level outreach campaigns, engaging with educational institutions, veteran communities, civil society organizations, and government stakeholders, and representing Veterans India at public forums and events. The Honorary State President will oversee local teams and volunteers, guide program implementation, monitor impact,
and ensure alignment with the national mission and policies of Veterans India. Day-to-day responsibilities also include reporting to central leadership, managing communication and documentation, and fostering partnerships that advance nation-building objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, team management, and community mobilization abilities to guide volunteers and state-level initiatives.
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills for engaging with youth, veterans, institutions, and diverse communities.
- Proven experience in social service, public administration, education, or community outreach, preferably in roles involving nation-building or civic initiatives.
- Demonstrated commitment to democratic values, nationalism, patriotism, and respect for India’s cultural, religious, and linguistic diversity.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute state-wide programs and events, including stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with the capacity to prepare reports, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfort with basic digital tools and online communication platforms to manage hybrid work and coordinate statewide activities.
- Background as a Veteran (Ex-Servicemember) or significant experience working with veteran communities is highly desirable.
- Graduate degree or equivalent experience in fields such as social sciences, public policy, management, or humanities is preferred.
