GST Consultant — AI-Enabled Compliance

Experience: 2–6 years | Level: Executive / Senior Executive / Assistant Manager

Role

Handle end-to-end GST compliance, reconciliation, advisory and notice support while using AI and automation tools to improve speed, accuracy and documentation quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and review GST returns, reconciliations, annual workings and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile books, GSTR data, e-invoices and e-way bills; identify and resolve exceptions.
- Review ITC eligibility, reversals, blocked credits and vendor mismatches.
- Research GST provisions, notifications, circulars, classification, valuation and place-of-supply issues.
- Draft notice replies, advisory notes, refund applications and client communications.
- Use AI for data extraction, drafting, review and workflow standardisation, with mandatory human verification.
- Build reusable prompts, checklists, templates and spreadsheet/automation workflows.
- Maintain proper working papers, audit trails and compliance calendars.
- Coordinate with clients and guide junior team members.





Candidate Profile
- CA / CMA / CA Inter / CMA Inter / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent.
- 2–6 years of practical GST experience.
- Robust knowledge of GST returns, ITC, e-invoicing, e-way bills and reconciliations.
- Strong Excel skills; Power Query / Power BI / Python exposure preferred.
- Practical experience using AI tools for professional work.
- Strong documentation, analytical and client communication skills.

Key Principle AI may assist with extraction, analysis, reconciliation and drafting, but every output must be verified against source documents, GST portal data and authoritative legal sources before reliance or submission.

Preferred

Experience in e-commerce GST, multi-state registrations, ERP systems, departmental matters, MIS and automation.
