What you will own

- Own the documentation file for every student on your caseload academic records, financial proofs, sponsor papers, identification and supporting documents, from collection through submission.
- Drive the outcome that matters: zero COE or visa rejections caused by documentation error.
- Prepare and submit Certificate of Eligibility applications and Japan student visa files, and track every one against its deadline.
- Audit documents before they leave Yoisho- catch gaps, inconsistencies and weak sponsor cases early, and guide the student on fixing them.
- Coordinate directly with Japanese language schools, vocational colleges and universities on applications, admission letters and COE status.
- Run one-to-one consultations with prospective students, understand their academic background, budget and goals, and recommend the institutions that actually fit.
- Keep every student's status current in our tracker, so nobody's application goes quiet.
- Prepare students for departure — visa interview, arrival logistics, what the first month in Japan is actually like.

Must have

- A bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Hands-on experience processing documentation for overseas education applications - you have personally assembled and submitted student files, not just advised on them.




- Working knowledge of visa documentation requirements for at least one study destination; Japan COE experience is a strong advantage.
- Serious attention to detail. A wrong date on a bank statement costs a student a year.
- The organisational capacity to run 30–50 live student files at once against overlapping deadlines.
- Explicit spoken and written English/Hindi, empathatic and the patience to explain a confusing process to an anxious 19-year-old and their parents.

Good to have

- Direct experience with Japan COE or Japanese student visa applications.
- Familiarity with Japanese language schools, senmon gakko and university admission routes.
- Knowledge of MEXT, JASSO and other scholarships.
- Japanese language ability at JLPT N3 or above.
- Experience studying, working or living in Japan.
- Prior study-abroad counselling or overseas admissions experience.
