Senior Software Engineer - Java (Spring Boot & Azure)

We are currently hiring for a Staff Software Engineer for one of our client (It is a big Software Services/Product Company) based out of Mumbai.

We are looking for experienced backend engineers who are passionate about building scalable, cloud-native applications using Java , Spring Boot, Microservices, and Azure . The ideal candidates should have strong system design capabilities, hands-on cloud experience , and a solid understanding of database design and JPA . This role will pay above market salaries with standard benefits for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs following industry best practices.
- Develop cloud-native applications deployed on Microsoft Azure.
- Design event-driven architectures using messaging platforms such as Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, or Apache Kafka.
- Implement scalable database solutions using JPA/Hibernate with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Deploy and manage applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, or Azure Spring Apps.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Required Skills / Primary Skills





- Strong experience in Java development with Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing Microservices architectures.
- Solid understanding of Spring Cloud and distributed systems.
- Excellent knowledge of REST APIs and backend application development.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Azure services, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Service, Azure Spring Apps, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Monitor.
- Strong expertise in JPA/Hibernate and relational database design.
- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or Event Grid.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and cloud-native architectures.

Additional Skills

- Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of Redis, Cosmos DB, or other caching and NoSQL technologies.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor engineers and drive technical excellence.
