Role Description The Staff Nurse role is a full-time, on-site position based at Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute in Delhi, India.
The Staff
Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with procedures as per clinical protocols.
Responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient records, coordinating with doctors and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring adherence to infection control and safety standards. The role also involves educating patients and families about treatment plans, supporting emotional and physical comfort,
and participating in quality improvement and training activities within the hospital.
Qualifications
- Professional nursing qualification (e.g., GNM, B.Sc Nursing) from a recognized institution and valid nursing registration with the appropriate nursing council.
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs, with the ability to follow established nursing protocols.
- Knowledge of hospital infection control practices, patient safety standards, and basic emergency care, including CPR and response to critical situations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide clear information and counseling to patients and families.
- Ability to work in rotating shifts, handle a quick-paced clinical environment, and maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic medical records and documentation; familiarity with hospital information systems is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred; exposure to tertiary care or charitable healthcare institutions is beneficial.
