About the Role

Healic Hospital is looking for a compassionate, skilled, and responsible NICU Staff Nurse to provide specialized nursing care to newborns requiring intensive and critical care. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring neonatal patients, administering medications, assisting doctors during procedures, and ensuring a safe and hygienic NICU setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Patient Care
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates admitted to the NICU.
- Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, temperature, and other clinical parameters.
- Closely observe newborns for any changes in their condition and immediately report abnormalities to the concerned doctor.
- Maintain accurate patient care records and nursing documentation.
- Ensure proper feeding, hygiene, positioning, and comfort of newborns.
- Clinical Responsibilities
- Administer medications, IV fluids, injections, and other treatments as prescribed by doctors.
- Assist doctors during procedures and emergency interventions.
- Handle and monitor neonatal equipment such as incubators, radiant warmers, infusion pumps, monitors, and oxygen support systems.
- Maintain proper infection-control practices within the NICU.
- Follow hospital protocols for neonatal care, medication administration, and patient safety.

- Respond promptly to neonatal emergencies and deterioration in patient condition.
- Assist during resuscitation and other emergency procedures as required.
- Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are readily available and functional.
- Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate effectively with neonatologists, pediatricians, doctors, and other healthcare staff.
- Maintain proper handover of patient information during shift changes.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
- Communicate appropriately with parents/attendants regarding routine nursing care as per hospital protocols.

Requirements:

- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing registration.
- Previous experience in NICU / Neonatal Care / Pediatric ICU will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of neonatal nursing procedures and infection-control practices.
- Ability to handle critical situations calmly and efficiently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
