Role Description The SR.

Academic

Counselor is a full-time, in office role based in Noida, responsible for guiding prospective students through the process of selecting suitable online and distance degree programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, understanding each student’s academic background and career goals, and recommending programs from UGC- and NAAC-approved universities that match their aspirations. The counselor will explain admission requirements, fees, eligibility criteria, and course structures, ensuring all information is accurate and transparent.

This role involves maintaining detailed student records, following up with inquiries,



supporting students through the admission process, and collaborating with internal teams to improve counseling quality and student experience. The SR.

Academic

Counselor is expected to uphold ethical advising practices, build trust with students and families, and contribute to the organization’s mission of long-term career-focused guidance.

Qualifications

- Strong student counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand individual goals and recommend suitable academic pathways.
- Knowledge of Indian higher education systems, especially UGC- and NAAC-approved universities, online and distance learning programs, and admission processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, clear presentation of information, and professional relationship-building with students and families.
- Proficiency in maintaining documentation and using basic computer applications or CRM tools for tracking inquiries, follow-ups, and admissions.
- Ability to work on-site in Noida, manage multiple student cases, prioritize tasks, and meet counseling and enrollment targets ethically.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Management, or a related field; a master’s degree or prior experience as an academic counselor or admissions advisor is an advantage.
- High level of integrity, patience, and empathy, with a commitment to transparent guidance and long-term career value for students.
- Fluency in English and Hindi; additional regional languages are a plus.
