Job Summary

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Building Engineering from a recognized university or college. Work experience of more than 15 years in all facets of plant structural engineering and design of stick-built / module (onshore and offshore) including more than 6 years in engineering design of onshore offshore structures and at least 3 years for fab yard support / procurement support in international large Oil & Gas / petrochemical projects; modular design experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

- 1. Complete the work as a structural Lead engineer of Piperack, equipment supporting structure, shelter, platform, miscellaneous support UG facilities for oil refinery projects, LNG plant projects, and/or gas processing plant projects.

- 1. Asst Lead Engineer capability (Deputy to Structural LE) where required

- 1. Engineering Checker capability for large Oil Gas / petrochemical facilities

- 1. Prepare design specification, standard drawing, work instructions and procedures.

- 1. Structural analysis as per relevant international codes and/or project specifications/guidelines

- 1. Control design status and schedule for structural activities

- 1. Control cost (manhour and BQ) for structural activities

- 1. Check engineering subcontractors products (3D model, MTO data, design drawing, calculation notes and foundation loading data etc.)

- 1. Steel Procurement coordination and module yard coordination proposal phase EPC phase

- 1. Review vendors drawing and other disciplines drawing

- 1. Review 3D model and coordinate structural layout with other disciplines and engineering subcontractors to avoid clash.

- 1. PJ coordination in terms of structural engineering with client, other disciplines, piping and structural layout engineers, , construction team, engineering subcontractors etc...

- 1. Coordination design changes with other disciplines, engineering subcontractor to minimize impact.

- 1. Communication and coordination with steel fabricators,



construction subcontractor and engineering subcontractors

- 1. Raising Change orders to client, material requisitions to procurement and supporting procurement schedule

- 1. Working as Field Engineer for short tenures as required

- 1. Working at other Operating Centres of the company in above roles for a tenure

Requirements

- 1. Knowledge of international code and standards (such as AISC, ASCE, ACI, PIP, Eurocode and BS etc...) for steel and concrete structural design

- 1. Knowledge of international code and standards (such as ASCE, UBC etc...) for wind load and seismic load

- 1. Willing to adapt to the organisations method of work delivery

- 1. Knowledge of standard international styles of business communication and experience in the preparation of business and technical documentation.

- 1. Knowledge of plant facilities (Piping, Electrical, Instrument, Equipment etc.) in oil refinery projects, LNG plant projects, and/or gas processing plant projects.

- 1. STAAD PRO operation skills.

- 1. Basic knowledge of 3D modelling philosophy

- 1. Calculation knowledge of connection capacity

- 1. Navisworks operation skills.

- 1. MS office Excel operation skills.

- 1. Mentoring and training of junior engineers within the department.

- 1. Direct supervision and checking of the work by junior staff

- 1. Flexibility of working in project team as originator or supervisor as required especially in early stages of project

Note

- 1. Knowledge of transport analysis (pre-service analysis) of module structure including optimisation may be considered as necessary requirement, depending on current position

- 1. Knowledge of concrete Building design will be considered as additional skill
