The Role

We're hiring a Sr. Software Engineer to build AI Agentic Operating System. This is a foundational, high-ownership role: you'll design the domain entities, relationships, routing logic, and persistence layer that every FlowAI agent and workflow depends on — from order intake through scheduling, modality routing, and downstream Revenue Cycle Mgmt.

You'll be the definitive technical owner of how orders, encounters, providers, payers, modalities, slots, and worklists are modeled, related, and served — and you'll build the application backend that brings that model to life.

What You'll Do

- Design and implement AI first operating system that replaces traditional Electronic Medical Records System and backend data model: orders, encounters, patients, providers, payers, modalities, scheduling slots, worklists, and the relationships between them.
- Build the application backend services and APIs that expose this model to FlowAI's agentic workflows and front-end surfaces.
- Architect order routing and worklist assignment logic — modality-level, location-level, and rules-driven. Define schema evolution, migrations,



and versioning strategy for a system under active production load.
- Enforce strict PHI handling and multi-tenant isolation at the data layer.
- Own data integrity, consistency, and performance for high-throughput patient-journey workflows.

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of backend software engineering with deep expertise in data modeling for transactional application systems.
- Robust track record building application backends — services, APIs, routing/assignment logic, state machines, and workflow orchestration.
- Expert-level relational data modeling — normalization, schema design, indexing, query optimization — across SQL and modern data stores.
- Experience designing systems with multi-tenancy and strict data isolation.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python; experience on AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB / Aurora, EventBridge) strongly preferred.
- Pragmatic, ownership-driven, and comfortable being the definitive owner of a core domain.
