Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Senior RuleStream Engineer to design, develop, and maintain complex business rules and product configuration models using Siemens RuleStream. The ideal candidate will possess robust expertise in engineering automation, product configuration, knowledge-based engineering (KBE), and enterprise integration. This role involves translating engineering and business requirements into scalable RuleStream applications while collaborating with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Rule Authoring &

- Development

- Develop and maintain RuleStream knowledge bases, rules, and configuration models.

- Create and manage engineering calculations, product selection logic, and design automation workflows.

- Build and optimize configurable product models for Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and Configure-to-Order (CTO) environments.

- Implement business rules for pricing, quoting, BOM generation, and product validation.

- Develop reusable RuleStream classes, templates, and rule libraries.

Requirements Analysis

- Work with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and product management teams to gather requirements.

- Analyse existing business processes and convert them into automated RuleStream solutions.

- Translate complex engineering specifications into rule-based logic.

Testing &
- Validation

- Develop unit tests and validation scenarios for RuleStream applications.

- Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of configuration and rule execution issues.

- Ensure solution accuracy, performance, and maintainability.

Integration &
- Support

- Support integration of RuleStream with PLM, ERP, CAD, and CPQ systems.

- Collaborate with Solution Architects on application design and deployment strategies.





- Assist with data migration, upgrades, and enhancement projects.

- Provide production support and issue resolution.

Documentation &
- Governance

- Maintain technical documentation, rule specifications, and design standards.

- Participate in code reviews and enforce RuleStream development best practices.

- Mentor junior Rule Authors and developers.

Required Skills

- RuleStream Expertise 5+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens RuleStream.

- Robust knowledge of RuleStream Architect

- Strong knowledge of RuleStream Engineer

- Strong knowledge of RuleStream VIA

- User Manager

- Experience creating complex decision logic and engineering calculations.

- Knowledge of product configuration, BOM generation, and design automation.

- VB.NET / VBScript

- SQL Server and database concepts

- XML, JSON, REST APIs

- Teamcenter integration concepts

- CAD systems such as NX, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or Solid Edge

- Source control and release management practices

- Engineer-to-Order (ETO) / Configure-to-Order (CTO)

- Product lifecycle management (PLM)

- Manufacturing and engineering processes

- Requirements analysis and problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

- Experience with Siemens RuleStream, Teamcenter, SAP ERP, CAD automation and engineering design systems.

- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
