We partner with foundations, development institutions, governments, corporates, and research organisations to generate evidence and insights that inform better decisions.

Walkin interviews from 14th onwards b/w 9:30-10:30am from Mon to Fri & Saturdays at 11am at our Gurgaon office.

Role overview

We are looking for a senior professional who can help us build the relationships and opportunities that take our research to the right institutions, funders, and partners. This is not a conventional business development role. You will work across donor engagement, institutional partnerships, resource mobilisation, proposal development, external representation, and strategic communications.

What You’ll Own

I. Donor & Institutional Partnerships

- Identify and build relationships with foundations, bilateral/multilateral agencies, CSR organisations, NGOs, development institutions, research organisations, and technology partners.
- Convert relationships into research partnerships, funded projects, strategic collaborations, and new opportunities.
- Identify relevant RFPs, tenders, grants, funding calls, and partnership opportunities aligned with Outline India’s capabilities.
- Track the partnership pipeline, opportunity status, next steps, and closures.




- Track opportunities from lead generation → qualification → engagement → proposal → negotiation → closure.
- Identify opportunities to deepen existing accounts through repeat projects, new programmes, expanded scope, and cross-functional offerings.
- Work with leadership and research teams to convert opportunities into revenue-generating engagements.

II. Strategic Communications

- Position Outline India’s research capabilities, field intelligence, technology, and sector expertise for relevant audiences.
- Represent Outline India at conferences, roundtables, sector forums, and senior stakeholder meetings.
- Support research launches, roundtables, webinars, conferences, and other visibility initiatives.
- Develop concept notes, proposals, capability decks, partnership pitches, and donor communications.
- Monitor portfolio performance, pipeline value, conversion, revenue, and relationship health.
- Ensure timely follow-ups and movement of opportunities through the pipeline.

What We’re Looking For

- 7+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, institutional fundraising, client/account management
- Demonstrated track record of generating revenue, winning new accounts/projects, securing grants, or closing institutional partnerships.
- Existing relationships with foundations, CSR organisations, UN/multilateral agencies, development organisations, research institutions, or technology companies will be a strong advantage.
- Excellent proposal, presentation, writing, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience managing a portfolio of institutional clients, donors, partners, or accounts, with responsibility for growth and relationship development.
