Role Description The Sr Manager GIS role is a full-time, in office position based in Lucknow. The role involves leading geographic information systems (GIS) initiatives, including designing and maintaining spatial databases, overseeing data collection and validation, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

The Sr

Manager GIS will manage GIS projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and provide spatial analysis and mapping support for consulting engagements.

Responsibilities include developing GIS workflows, preparing reports and visualizations for clients, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to the continuous improvement of GIS tools and methodologies.



The role also requires close collaboration with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective GIS solutions that support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of GIS concepts, spatial analysis, and mapping tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms).
- Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining spatial databases and related data management processes.
- Ability to lead projects, manage timelines and resources, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills, with attention to detail and data quality.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to present complex spatial information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geoinformatics, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a consulting or advisory environment is an advantage.
- Familiarity with scripting or programming for GIS (such as Python or SQL) is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in Lucknow and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
