To independently audit the HR Department and verify the accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of HR processes, records, policies, and employee-related transactions. The role will identify discrepancies, process gaps, control weaknesses, and areas of improvement and report findings to Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits of HR processes, records, and transactions.
- Audit employee attendance, leave, overtime, salary, advances, deductions, and payroll-related records.
- Verify employee master data, joining documents, personnel files, and HR documentation.
- Cross-check HRMS/Nway records with supporting documents and actual records.
- Verify recruitment, onboarding, transfer, promotion, increment, and exit processes.
- Audit employee attendance and leave records against approved applications and management approvals.
- Verify payroll inputs and identify discrepancies, unauthorized changes, or irregular entries.
- Review HR policies and ensure that established procedures are being properly followed.
- Audit employee perks, insurance records, statutory records, and other HR-related compliance requirements.
- Check disciplinary actions, warnings, explanation letters, and other employee-related documentation.
- Verify HR MIS reports and ensure that information submitted to Management is accurate and complete.
- Identify gaps, irregularities, control weaknesses, and potential risks in HR operations.
- Conduct sample checks and physical verification wherever required.
- Prepare detailed audit observations and submit periodic reports to Management.
- Follow up on audit observations and verify implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain proper documentation and confidentiality of all audit findings.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, Administration, and other departments whenever required for verification.
- Required Qualification
- MBA / PG Diploma in Human Resources, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HR operations, HR audit, internal audit, compliance, or payroll audit.
- Experience in independently auditing HR processes will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with a background in HR, audit, compliance, or finance will be preferred.
