Role Overview

- We are looking for a Backend-heavy Full Stack Engineer with 5-6 years of experience in building and maintaining production-grade applications using Node.js, React.js, Express.js, and Strapi.

- The candidate should have strong backend expertise, good knowledge of frontend development, APIs, databases, system design, security, performance, and production engineering.

Key Responsibilities

- Application Development Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using Node.js, React.js, Express.js, and Strapi.

- Build reusable, maintainable, and secure frontend/backend components and REST APIs.

- Customize and extend Strapi for enterprise content-management requirements.

- Develop responsive and accessible React.js interfaces.

- Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and code reviews.

- Node.js &
- Backend Engineering Design Node.js applications using layered, modular monolith, or service-based architectures.

- Strong understanding of event loop, asynchronous programming, Promises, async/await, streams, buffers, worker threads, memory management, error handling, and connection pooling.

- Implement API development, validation, authentication, authorization, logging, caching, rate limiting, timeouts, retries, security, documentation, and automated testing.

- Troubleshoot event-loop blocking, memory leaks, slow APIs, resource consumption, and application instability.

- High-Traffic Website Engineering Build applications capable of handling approximately 60 lakh requests/month with higher peak traffic.

- Develop stateless, horizontally scalable applications.

- Implement caching, CDN/reverse proxy, compression, asset/image optimization, API and database optimization, pagination, and connection pooling.

- Define timeout, retry, circuit-breaking, and graceful-degradation strategies.

- Participate in load, stress, endurance, and capacity testing and resolve performance bottlenecks.

- Strapi &





- Content Management Configure, customize, upgrade, and maintain Strapi-based headless CMS solutions.

- Design content types, components, relationships, workflows, and publishing models.

- Develop custom controllers, services, middleware, routes, policies, and plugins.

- Implement RBAC, secure CMS interfaces, media management, versioning, approval workflows, localization, scheduled publishing, and rollback.

- Integrate Strapi APIs with React applications.

- React.js Frontend Development Develop reusable React components using JavaScript/TypeScript.

- Work with React Hooks, routing, state management, forms, and API integration.

- Optimize frontend performance through code splitting, lazy loading, memoization, bundle optimization, and caching.

- Ensure responsive, accessible, SEO-friendly, and cross-browser-compatible applications.

- Handle API failures, validation errors, loading states, and degraded services effectively.

- Observability

- OpenTelemetry Instrument Node.js and frontend applications using OpenTelemetry.

- Implement distributed tracing, metrics, and structured log correlation.

- Monitor request rate, error rate, latency, resource usage, event-loop delay, memory, API, and database performance.

- Use telemetry for production troubleshooting and root-cause analysis while protecting sensitive information.

- Kubernetes Application Development Prepare applications for Kubernetes-based deployment.

- Maintain Kubernetes manifests/Helm configurations and configure Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, probes, resource limits, HPA,



and rolling updates.

- Ensure graceful startup/shutdown and troubleshoot common Kubernetes issues such as pod restarts, probe failures, OOM, CPU throttling, configuration, DNS, and connectivity issues.

- Work with DevOps/platform teams on deployments, scaling, and releases.

- Cluster administration is not mandatory.

- Security &

- Compliance Follow secure coding practices and address common web/API vulnerabilities.

- Implement input validation, output encoding, security headers, rate limiting, authentication, authorization, and audit logging.

- Secure secrets, credentials, tokens, and certificates.

- Address findings from SAST, DAST, SCA, penetration testing, and security reviews.

- Maintain secure and supported application dependencies.

- Production Support &

- Engineering Excellence Monitor production health, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root-cause analysis.

- Analyse logs, metrics, and traces to identify application/dependency failures.

- Maintain technical and operational documentation.

- Develop unit, integration, API, security, and E2E tests.

- Contribute to CI/CD, automated quality gates, releases, rollbacks, and production validation.

- Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.

Mandatory Technical Skills

- 5-6 years of relevant software-development experience.

- Solid hands-on experience with Node.js, React.js, Express.js, Strapi, and JavaScript ES6+.

- Good knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js internals.

- Strong experience developing and securing REST APIs.

- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and browser tools.

- Practical experience with OpenTelemetry and Kubernetes-based environments.

- Experience with Docker, relational/document databases, Redis, Git, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Strong understanding of application security, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting.
