As part of our expansion strategy, CMR is establishing a new Aluminium Ingots and Liquid Aluminium manufacturing plant at Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu , with a total installed capacity of 36,000 MTPA , to be developed in phases.

Position: FLO Hot Refining Project & Operation South

Designation: Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager

Qualification

Essential:- Full time Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Metallurgy or related field from a reputed institution.





Desirable:- Degree/Diploma/Certification in Operations or General Management.

Experience

Essential:- 35 years of experience in hot refining or similar role within refining/manufacturing industry.

Desired

Strong understanding of refining processes and technologies.

Experience in process optimization and quality control.

Knowledge of refinery operational standards.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Deployment Plan The selected candidate will be initially deployed in the into regular Plant Operations , where the candidate will be familiar with technology, process / SOPs / culture. Later, stage they will loclocate Shoolagiri Project site for , actively contributing to plant setup, commissioning support, process stabilization, and operational readiness.

Job Responsibilities

During Project Phase

Support installation, commissioning, and stabilization of refining furnaces.

Assist in developing SOPs, process monitoring formats, and quality checkpoints.

Coordinate with Project & Maintenance teams for equipment readiness.

Support trial runs, parameter setting, and initial production validation.

During Plant Operations

Ensure minimal deviation from the Process Monitoring Sheet.

Oversee hot refining operations including charging schedule, flux quantity control,



alloy composition, and addition of virgin alloy materials.

Achieve shift targets for cost control, production, melt loss, dross generation, recovery, and quality.

Approve quality reports based on spectrometry and visual inspection; ensure ERP booking compliance.

Handle shift-level escalations.

Coordinate with Maintenance for equipment availability.

Control ingot quality and weight variation.

Ensure pollution control compliance.

Maintain strict adherence to process parameters.
