Freelance C# .NET Windows Desktop Automation Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Freelance C#/.NET Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Windows desktop application development and UI automation. The role involves developing a Windows automation agent to automate a third-party desktop application using Windows UI Automation (UIA), without pixel or screenshot-based automation.

Mandatory Requirements

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in C# and .NET.
- Minimum 2 years of Windows desktop application development.
- Strong production experience with Windows UI Automation / UIA.
- Experience with FlaUI, White, or Microsoft Automation API preferred.
- Must have developed and deployed at least one unattended desktop automation in a live environment.
- Strong knowledge of async/await, multithreading, background processes, and Windows Services.
- Hands-on experience with WPF or WinForms.
- Ability to commit a minimum of 4 hours daily.

Key Responsibilities





- Develop and maintain a C#/.NET 8 Windows automation agent.
- Automate third-party desktop applications using UI Automation/FlaUI.
- Build reliable automation with verification, retries, timeouts, error handling, and recovery.
- Handle pop-ups, alerts, modal windows, and unexpected UI flows.
- Develop a small WPF operator panel for monitoring and manual intervention.
- Integrate REST APIs and structured data.
- Implement logging and monitoring for unattended automation.
- Support application packaging and deployment using MSIX, ClickOnce, WiX, or similar tools.

Good to Have

- Experience with UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Power Automate Desktop.
- Experience with legacy/vendor-controlled desktop applications.
- OCR/document extraction experience.
- Knowledge of code signing and enterprise deployment.

Freelance Engagement Details

- Minimum Commitment: 4 hours/day
- Work Type: Freelance / Part-time
- Engagement: Project-based

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
